DAY 3 - VISIT TO NHUAN DOC PRIMARY SCHOOL

After breakfast, we took a slightly under 2-hour drive to Nhuan Doc Primary School, bearing gifts of age-appropriate English books, chapteks, songs and souvenirs from our students to theirs...

A guard-of-honour formed by the 45  Nhuan Doc students and their 4 teachers welcomed us, waving Singapore and Vietnamese flags...

as the VP(A) was being introduced the the school leader of Nhuan Doc Pri Sch...

Even their school drum ensemble was out to receive us....

Our students facing the honour-guard to thank them with a bow...

Our students and theirs formed into 3 groups, with 2 in classrooms and one out in the courtyard. The 3 groups then took turns doing a sing-along; Vietnmese-English lesson and chaptek contest. Here are photo-memories of the activities...

Sing-along...

Chaptek contest...

and language exchange...

Thereafter, a group-photo with our little hosts...

... and a group photo on our own...

In case you are wondering, here is a zoom-in ofthe red banner behind us. Apparently, Woodgrove Sec Sch also visited Nhuan Duc Pri Sch...

We were then brought round to look at the school premises, which had only 4 classrooms and no offices or tuck-shop as it was an annex of a larger main building located elsewhere. Only 2 classrooms were being used, by a Pri 2 and a Pri 3 class...

After our walk-around, we bade farewell to our hosts by having our students presenting souvenirs to their new-found friends...

And before we left, a token of our friendship and something to remember us by, was presented to the school leader by VP(A)...

...and a final group photo of teachers and school leaders of both schools...
