DAY 2 - LUNCH AND FISH-CATCHING BY HAND/NET

The horse-carts brought us back to the coach and after a few minutes' drive, we arrived at our lunch venue, which was also our fish-catching venue. Lunch was a home-cooked spread that included "Elephant-Ear Fish;" an assortment of local fruits and entertainment by singers and a 3-member string ensemble of traditional Vietnamese musical instruments.

Lunch.......

Fruit galore......

And a musical treat......

After the musical interlude, we had a go at wrapping Banh Tet or sticky-rice dumpling.

Then we changed into traditional fisher-folk attire, took a group photo, and went fishing. Rest assured the participants wore disposable gloves; were given time to wash-up and change-out of their "fishing clothes" and were sent back t the hotel immediately to bathe.

Our happy junior fisher-folk, through sheer team work, caught a dozen fish, comprising snake-heads and cat-fish.
